OH-13 helicopters on the ground

A pair of observation helicopters on the ground. Although it looks deserted, this was a perimeter. There was no way that these would have been on the ground without security. It was during the Monsoon, and the tracks of the APCs had already started tearing up the paths they were taking. Within a few days, they would have been turned into mud trails.

Yeah, there are a few bunkers and shelters hidden in the grass. Unfortunately, the Army didn't provide us with much of anything that was bulletproof. Everything, including us, was replaceable.

Always interesting to see your photos of Vietnam.

Are those tents? If they are, they don't look bullet proof!
