We're #1!

Taken in the Battalion Aid Station bunker in Lai Khe basecamp. Judging by the Leaning Tower of Beer Cans, I'm guessing they weren't gathered for choir practice. I don't remember the name of the PFC on the left, but the others were fellow medics Mike Guzzo (middle), Jim Noel (right) and Tom Hinger (bottom).

Although I didn't know the other two guys well, it was my privilege to serve with all of them. Tom Hinger, Jim Noel & Jim Norgon (the photographer) were all wounded multiple times and were among the bravest of the brave.

The point is taken. Guzzo was there in a strictly humanitarian role.

I believe if my extremely poor memory serves me that I was on "Prevent my fellow Combat Medics from falling over" duty when this photo was taken. A demanding medical procedure. Notice I am holding on to Tom and Jim and could not let go to flip a bird also. LOL

Funny shot ... it really is a 'band of brothers'. I think people who were never in the military have a hard time understanding that.
