The pilot made an emergency landing in the perimeter. The rotors were still spinning. The weapons officer was killed by groundfire.

Was this pic taken Friday 13 1968. ? Black lions 1/28 Ndp. Anyone have pic of fighter jet shot down same area. ?this was a bad time. We lost general ware same area loc ninh . An loc area. That battle lasted into October as 1/28 chased nva through loc ninh into Cambodia. Many friends wounded and Kia . This battle has never. Den put into perspective.
