Recon 2/2nd Infantry

The Two-Niner track was the recon platoon leader's track. It says "Panzer Leader" on the .50 caliber turret. The recon medic rode that track and they carried two litters for casualties. They were an excellent recon unit and were highly respected.

My dad had told me about his tours in Vietnam, he ran with the recon. His name is Rico V Rowe, was wondering if anyone may remember him.

This was our unit, track 68 Boogaloo Kids, my shield was VEGAS KID with ACES & EIGHTS above, we were the REACT PLATOON, I noticed you were BRAVO CO, I recall going into help you guys in March or April 68, this was the ambush that almost all were KIA or Wounded, we could only secured the hot LZ for the medevacs to come in, the choppers were loaded down with the wounded and hanging on for life as they tried to fly away, not a good day, this was when they sent jets in to blow the tracks up left behind, sounds like you were there same time, good to see you made it out okay, VEGAS KID
