I had been photographing the fireworks in the "Inner Beauty" gallery for a couple of years when my wife and I went to Busch Gardens to see and photograph the nightly fireworks show. What I discovered when we arrived was that my tripod had been removed from the back of the car without me knowing. As any creative individual would do, I sat down and pouted.
After about 5 minutes I asked myself what the purpose was for the tripod. It was to hold the camera still so it could record the motion of the fireworks. But what if both the fireworks and the camera moved at the same time? What would that look like? I didn't know, but I grabbed my camera to find out. Where I was used to getting 3 or 4 interesting images for the "Inner Beauty" gallery, this night I was blown away by the hugh number of interesting images, and this new gallery, "An Inner Beauty Abstracted" was born.
