* 2011 Spring Challenge : Leading Lines - Closed

Spring Challenge 2011: Leading Lines - Open April 13, 2011 to CVCC Members

A leading line does what it says: it leads the eye from one part of the picture to another: from the foreground to the background, the secondary subject to the main subject (but very rarely the other way round). The leading line adds motion to an otherwise static picture and ties different elements in it together. If you can pair leading lines with a subject that is placed according to the rule of thirds your image should be very strong. Leading lines can be straight, curved or zigzag. Think about train tracks, fences, curved roads, winding stairs, shorelines, paths, tree branches, anything that has a line of sorts that will help to draw the eye in and along it.

*** Challenge Guidelines:

*Posting dates: April 13 to May 31, 2011 - All images must be taken during the challenge dates
*Max 6 images per member in this gallery - change them as often as you wish
*Image enhancement and post processing permitted
*Post directly into this gallery, the same as you would into the Photos of the Week Gallery
*Images will be copied to members individual galleries at the end of the challenge

Be creative, think outside the box, or not, and have fun!

Image size follows the same guidelines as all postings to PBase:
MAXIMUM size of 800 pixels wide for landscape view or 700 high for vertical
Reduce file size to no more than 180K if possible.
