2nd. -- My Heart -- by Lydia too

I kept at this until I had something similar to this wonderful creation
of Nic Hanekom's here:

I can't compete with his... but I'm pleased with mine.

No I don't think it's glass but I didn't know what it was. You know better so probably oil is right.....Now that I'm at home and looking at this on a well calibrated screen it looks even better - I just love the way the light reflects.

Thank you, Kiki. That's very sweet of you.
Thanks, Penny. It looks like oil to me. Thick oil. Do you think it's made of glass? I think it's thick oil on top of glass... ~Lydia

Lydia this is beautiful. I'm curious, do you think the image on the original photo was made of glass? (no criticism here, I'm really just wondering what you think)

I think your right atrium is a bit dented, Lydia. Something you want to share with us? Hehehe. The light and reflections in this are wonderful.

Of course too little looks better than too much but just right looks..................Well, just right.

Lydia - it is okay to not USM enough. I think doing it too little looks better than doing it too much,
ctfchallenge04-Feb-2008 16:17
Thank you, Rod. I reworked it a bit. I never USM enough... *sigh*

Thank you, Claire. Glass is elevated over paper. ~Lydia

All this needs to be as perfect as Nicks is an Unsharp mask I reckon. I had a play with this & put them in Pending. Hope you don't mind. The banding lines on the graduations into the blue are the only problem here & the sharpness.

wow This is beautiful and I love the colours in it - especially the gold. How is this photo done? Lydia you have been really busy! Don't forget to eat and sleep will you!! - claire

Oops, I left off an 'e'. That should read, "Tomas, your words made me glow inside." *smile* ~Lydia

Oh, d... don't take your ball...*wink* stay and play. Do your own. I have two from this same image... you can have one, too. :)

Tomas, your words mad me glow. I don't agree... Nic's is perfect.. but THANKS!

JV, Yup! But, I thought we ALL were! *grin* ~Lydia

Lydia, Nic's image is great, but I have to say I like this one maybe even more. I love those 'edges' and your heart has more of them :). Plus the toning is wonderful. TomasC

This is a wonderful image, Lydia. I knew it was yours the moment I saw it. I was going to try and do something similar....not a heart...but, perhaps initials. But, now I think I'll just take my ball and go home. ;^) dtallakson
