Two Rules broken:

"Never take a picture of a building against the rising sun"
(I found the light shining through the top windows very attractive)

"Leading lines must lead your eyes into, but not out again of your image"
(I needed to include those stairs in the image in order to emphasise the perspective
and to avoid showing a lot of garbage lying around in front of the building!)

The "Palau de les Arts", BTW, is a huge concert hall and opera house
designed for his hometown by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava
