Contemplating His 5th

Richfield, MN

Rule Broken : rule of thirds, distracting element left in color, and slightly off line.
Justification : leaves the viewer wondering what he might be contemplating. Keeps the viewer's eyes moving around the photo.

The broken rule is "no partial desat". This is an appealing shot but the color of the teddybear seems a distraction without obvious purpose - in my very humble opinion since I prefer straight photography. -tv

Rule of thirds not broken. Primary and secondary subject fall upon the left line of thirds and upper line of thirds, respectfully. Qualified only for the second rule you are claiming. ~ LOnnit
