Even though the flower is the main focal point it is very interesting to find that the fallen curvy leaf is a leading line bringing my eye out to the right and then back in again. Very nicely seen.

Thanks everyone for your comments. TV, I am part-way to understanding your observations, and I like what I see. Julie

My apologies for any headaches my OTT attempt to express my impression may cause.. I should know better but... I don't. -tv

great find and a nice interpretation of the theme. my brain hurts trying to understand what tv said :-) but anyhow I like it - b.c.

The leaf is a masterstroke but I don't so much see the "point" as at least two other interpretations generated by the arch of that same leaf. One is the haughty eyebrow arch of someone upstaged by the beauty of the waterlilly and another is a profile with the flower tucked in the right ear... or just my overaggressive transmogrification. -tv

Very nice and the fallen leaf, not a prop, leads exactly to perfection.

Julie, Julie, Julie, this is just magnificent. Who would have thought a fallen leaf could compete with a lovely flower to act as a leading line but the colour & curve of the leaf works so well & you didn't even have to get your bike out of the shed:-) Excellent seeing & picy taking Julie, very well done.
