I love the tones and grain of the wood (and of course the leading line, too). but maybe I'm biased because it looks a lot like some of the old woodwork in my 70+yr old house :) I didn't notice the cat at first, but it adds a nice little bit of mystery - b.c.

RK, I don't see all of this other stuff that the others see. What I do see is just great wood in a spiral line leading me to see that dang screw hole that didn't get covered up well. It is a great shot that is right on topic. John

Thanks all.
Kiki, you got great imagination. -RK

The angle is masterful. It places the bannister squarely at the picture plane and the blurry floor recedes deeply into it. The cat adds a kind of E.A. Poe spookiness. -tv

Gawd Kiki you have some imagination:-) I will look at it again when I'm drunk so I can see wot Kiki see's:-)

See? All those lines kept your eyes away from the cat just like RK intended. -COAmature

I just saw something else here.. like a huge cats or goats eye. The upper dark shadow inside the bannister curve is like an eyelid, the pole down the middle a pupil. The cats own tail shapes the lower part of the "eye". You could spawn a whole new religion with this shot lol.. lots of magic to it.

Excellent shot RK & the hint of a cat is a master stroke. Great work.

Very nice.. love the wood textures and colors here, the blue'ish sparkle from the reflection, and how the "tails" almost touch - but not quite. Oh.. and the overall shape of things :)

I've looked at this three times now and only just now have seen the cat. *smile* ~Lydia
