Oh YEAH, Armin! This is definitely better than the first. Yes! ~Lydia

I was getting to like the first version. I view these double shots as a whole, not as two separate picys. So the old version could be seen as one picy with a stylish black border; but (good or bad) it was more or less a composite with the left image in the out of focus foreground leading into the right fuzzyness and finally to the sharp portions of the orchid. This doesn't work as well in that way, but it does generate more movement than the first version.. there are some nice graceful lines here, but the relationship is less clear to me. -tv

Thanks, Aam, Rod and John :o)

Rod 02-Nov-2007 20:42
This is much better:-)

Like all the versions. All are sensitive in an elegant way.

I really didn't mind the original on the left. Very very sensitive in an artistic way.

All your entries in this challenge (including Exhibition) are great, Armin.

I like these new ones ... but please don't pick this as a category if you win because I not sure I could even enter a challenge called softness. John

I liked the original and like this version too.
ctfchallenge02-Nov-2007 12:51
Rod being as kind as possible, thanks mate :o)
Hm, ok, fortunately there is some time left so I will try to come up with a better fitting left picture....hm................maybe :o)

Armin is a bloke & blokes have problems communicating softness, I'm getting confused this challenge wiv Lydia taking great bolkes shots & Armin failing miserably taking girls shots:-)

I haven't really figured the left picture out, but the right one is great shot. -J.V.

Wow, Armin. I like both of these photos. Perhaps not as well together as separate (which would negate the point of this Challenge), though. If they were both white like the first one, I'd love a duo. Or... if they were both muted like the second... would work as well. As it is, you have two beautiful photos. Just my opinion, of course. ~Lydia

Based on this: Screen, 60%, left pic only. About half way back to your original posting I think. Rod probably has other opinions though :)

Thanks, increased 'visibility' in the left picture :o)

Nice shapes and colors, very romantic. For a magazine page, this would be perfect. As a standalone, no text, I would have liked a wee bit more details here and there on the left side. Near the dark/light junctions only, slightly stronger graduates in to the bordering areas where there now are white "lines". I see it OK on the LCD really, but on the laptop screen, this mostly vanishes. Good concept anyway.

I like the right side but the left side, its so soft and white, I don't see much ....
Rod 01-Nov-2007 19:40
I hope your camera is still under warranty mate:-)
I can't see much in the left shot, so I'm not sure but a nice idea.
