Interesting, thank you for the mini-tutorial Techno..
Anyway for all it's faults and problems, I steal prefer the original..
Perhaps because it's truly my 'own'? :)

Techo's rework does look very good but I seem to like the tension of the dark area & I also get a better feeling for seeing the light for this topic in the original.
For a print I think I would go with Techo's rework.

Hi Jamdiver! this is my favorite of the trio. Splendid coloring and composition. About the dark part over the hedge, can easily paint it over (will remove the imaged liked to below whenever you like, no questions asked)...

Using the gradient tool... sample a green spot from the photo then paint it on in a new layer. Apply some Gaussian Blur to really smooth it out. You can then erase any overlapping color in that extra layer.

Thanks for the comments all.
Actually most of what you've all noted wasn't even noticeable to me when I took the pic.
My only thoughts really is that the flowers looks a little soft to me..
But i'll leave it as is though, despite the faults I like it as is :D

As for the dark area, I seem to recall it being a hedge? Hmmmm..

I'm not so sure about altering this picy as it looks like one of them shots that's got things wrong with it, but all the wrongs seem to come together in such a way as to make the shot a bit special. I like it as is.

Oh, and I agree with RK that a little contrast on the flower would be nice, but not terribly necessary.

I'm with J, I think without the dark area it might look ordinary.

I like the spider web (?) it adds tension to the photo. Good photo JamD.

Actually, i think the dark portion brings the eye to the focal point? Still debating. jano

I wondered about that dark portion at the top RK, but i think would look "ordinary" without it. Ummmmmm jano

Almost like it...following is just my suggestion...
- would crop out the top dark portion.
- feel the flower lacks some contrast...you can add contrast in PS.

I like how isolated the flower is because of the background. It really pops. excellent!
janewigginsphotography03-Jun-2006 00:49
Love the color... the similar colors in the background. Different for a flower shot so I like it. jano

Almost surreal looking, I really like the look of this shot Jammy. It works really well. Excellent mate:-)
