Out-of-focus eyes would have been missed by me on this one. I'm enchanted by the overall image andI fail to notice that! Rod, I'm glad you're bringing your expertise into many of these
comments. As you would say, an "old man" has much experience in many areas, including photography. LOL Shu

I don't think its RKs fault Mary Anne, it's just a common problem with L lenses.
So try it again with the kit lens for sharply focused eyes:-)

Wow, those are incredible eyes. One suggestion to make it really stand out...a general rule of thumb when taking close shots of animals or people is to focus on the eyes. In the case of this shot, the whiskers seem more in focus than the eyes, which distracts from them as the center of interest.
