Very well done, you have a lot more patience than I do! I think you could sell this one to a card shop! - Tom

Photocat, one topic I always thought would be a great one for a challenge was "Greeting Cards"......take photos that would be suitable for use on a greeting card. If you win this one, you might like to kick off a new career with a topic like that.

Thanks Gayle and Techo! I guess you both got me thinking now. I am going to play around within this theme, take some more pictures and then approach "Hallmark" or similar company and see where it goes from there.... Thanks to both of you.
Techo 21-Mar-2005 22:27
Gayle sure chose the correct wording "hallmark". I bet they would surely like this photo.

This has all the hallmarks of a challenge winner. Well thought out, great colours and nicely composed. Well done!

Hmm, after this, I may not participate in this challenge! Excellent image, Cat

Hi Mark, Initially it was your suggestion and then others confirmed it, so I owe thanks to you for improving this picture for me. Thanks for your constructive feedback. -- Cat

Photocat: do you see how powerful your image is now? No distracting elements on the right side of the frame... your viewers center of attention is now focused EXACTLY where you want there eyes. Just a wonderfully creative shot. Markjay

Thanks Lee and everyone,
I have cropped the image as suggested by the experts. Here is the link to the original in case anyone wants to compare:http://www.pbase.com/photocat/image/40953352

Nice job PhotoCAT. I would crop the right side also. theFly
Guest 19-Mar-2005 00:38
Thanks for the feedback all of you. I will see what I can do about the crop. I had kept it to make it look like an even blue border for card right and up, but the pink in the corner spoils it I guess.
Rod 18-Mar-2005 21:47
Good work Cat. I do agree with Mark about the crop. It still works well as it is though.
alexeig18-Mar-2005 20:58
Beautiful color and arrangement. The flower adds the great touch
Guest 18-Mar-2005 19:15
Sorry, I meant the RIGHT side :-) Markjay
Guest 18-Mar-2005 19:14
Beautifully done!! If it were mine, I might have considered cropping off the left side to the "card edge". I decided this when I simply placed my hand over that portion of the image... it just kind of "cleaned it up" visually..... for me. Nice work. Markjay
