Wait a sec, I did sumbit one photo with a black background, it was for the C64. I totally forgot. It did have some texture to it though. PhotoNUT I'll take your suggestion into consideration.

Hi there. I appreciate everyone's comments. You ever noticed I never used a black background for any of my shots ;-) I don't have a black table cloth or the space to properly setup the shot. The largest piece of black background I could find is a piece of somewhat black constuction paper. This shot was setup on a cutting board since my counters are too cold and ugly, I was going for a homey feel for this photo, and that's what my daily ritual looks like but I'll try a similar shoot without the 2halves of lemon and sugar bag. But I'm all out of fruit tea at the moment, english tea will have to do. I also have something else in mind for the challenge, I'll give that a go first.

Techo, adding to theFlys tip, do you have a black table to put the white cup on for the shoot? I think the contrast would enhance the photo. White, chrome, yellow and red tea would be great for a black background.

I like theFlys tip about removing the stuff on the table and adding cubes.

oh and I'll keep it simple next time, just the cup and what's inside.

Thanks Lee :-) I was also thinking of sugar cubes, don't have them. But I'll try finding some the next time I go out for groceries.

Techo, I would remove the lemons and bag of sugar on the sides. Make it simple. I would also get some sugar cubes. I think they would photograph better. Just a thought.

There are plenty of more mornings until the end of the challenge. 8-)

Glad this photo isn't a total bummer :-) I can get a chance to reshoot it almost every day, if I'm not too lazy. I have two other shots perhaps I'll post them.
