Yes, actually... the third strand represents God's involvment in our marriage. The theme verse at our wedding was, "The chord of three strands cannot easily be broken" which is from the Bible. It simbolises how our lives are intertwined and interdependant. If we didn't include the third chord, our tendancy during hard times would be for each to go it's own way, but the third chord makes us strong when times are tough. It's worked so far. -Byron
I'm not sure I'd want a braid on a wedding band. That would seem to imply a third person is involved. If this is the case, who's the third person, God? I suppose that would probably work. -- Victor
