I spent a semester in graduate school working on a redevelopment proposal for this grand old theater in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. About mid-way through the project, and shortly before I had a chance to take some slides, there was a fire and the roof fell in (hence the natural light!). We continued on with our plans, but all along knew the theater was history. This grand theater that had seen the Marx Brothers, Mae West, W.C. Fields, and countless other vaudeville acts cross its stage was finally torn down in the mid-1990's.
