Thanks Penny & Carole:-) The picy was so much the same as this one I didn't overload the Pending server wiv it. Everything is about the same except the birds head was up in the darker background.

Good one Rod! I like the plants in the foreground and seeing the curve of the Ibis's beak against the water and background. The head shows up much better in this version. CJ

I tried to find the other one to make a comparison but Rod's Gallery came up empty. Penny Street

The sharply focused grass in the foreground really makes this on topic. The head is a little dark but I still like it. -dtallakson

Agreed. The head was a major problem with the first one. (I still like the pelican better.) -tv

Rod
Here's another one where its head is a bit better.

Thanks Penny, Doug, Brent & Tommy:-) I think the birds body is OK but the head blends in the background a.

I prefer the pelican. The bird here gets lost in the bg. -tv

Yep, you did a fine job of what Doug said mate. You sure get some great birds down there. I like it.

This is the direction I wanted to go with my entries. Make your OOF the subject but have something in the foreground sharp that ties into the theme. You've done just that and did it well. Accomplished by keeping the sharp parts minimal as to not overwhelm the subject. -Doug

Your bird picys are always amazing but, to make it amazing even when it's OOF well that's just plain (how do you say it?) amazing!! Aside from the bird, I really like the green perch and whispy detail on the bottom. Penny Street
