Thanks all and especially to John for giving a name to the iron post. I'm not much of a mariner. -tv

I like how the texture in the metal kind of mirrors the sparkle of the water. I also like the B&W. -dtallakson

Like how only the top of the bollard is in focus, black and white works good in my meager opinion also. john m (picks2592)

Thanks to you commenters it's now cropped and better for it. Rod I think this has less mess. Carole and Mary Anne, thanks for your crop recommendations. Carole don't look for the white blob cause I cloned it out. -tv

Another great boat picy Tom. I like this very much with the wonderful leading line up to the boat. I agree that a crop of the bottom up to just below the little whitish round blob on the metal cleat would look good too. CJ

Tommy, I like the concept of this one, esp. the line of the rope leading our eyes directly to the OOF boat. I think I'd crop off some of that distracting stuff at the bottom and maybe some off the left side. B & W was a good choice here.

Man Tommy have you perfected and gotten great use out of some boats. Better keep this one here. -Doug

That is quite a large mess at the bottom of the picy which could grab all the attention. What really works for me here is that only the metal thing is in focus neutralising the mess & the sunlit rope highlighted against the dark ship takes our eye right to it. The oof makes this otherwise messy picy a real goodun. If I wasn't resting I would stand & salute you:-)
