I own two of Edwina's magnificent Life magazine cartoons, one of which was printed in "Sinbad Again". Her ink wash cartoons were simply beautiful, and display a whole other range of her talents. She was equally facile in either pen & ink, or ink wash.

I have two of Edwina's proofs for tippie with the blue pencil visible. I got to meet her as a kid when visiting my Uncle in New York. She also visited our family's home for Christmas when I was just learning piano. I also have an autographed Tippie's Tunes song book.
She was truly a fine human being. I was inspired by her independence and confidence as a kid in the early 60's.

I found an old print intitled "right this way to the big show"with cap stubbs and Tippie at the circus.It says "to our friends Sunny Dneyse and Paul williams From Edwina with a picture of Tippie "and Edwina" it measures 12"x16 1/2" it has 12 4"x4"prints.

Edwina Dumm was a warm friendly intelligent woman. After she gave up her comic strip Tippie, she kept active with photography and helping the elderly in her New York City apartment house when she herself was well into her eighties. It was a privilege to know her.
