12/30/2010 - _MG_2306.jpg

Took a drive to Jamestown, NY today. We visited the Roger Tory Peterson Institute (www.rtpi.org)
to see the Charley Harper exhibit https://charleyharperprints.com/) and the Jamestown Audubon
Center - oh, and one of the THREE(?) local Arby's. How many do they need?

Good street scene Carl - I've never driven through upstate NY and don't know what an Arby's is but I like this photo. That's the beauty of photography - it can be personal and intimate but global and all-appealing at the same time :o). Happy New Year Carl, wishing you and your loved ones all the very best for 2011. It's been a pleasure to see your photos this year, here's looking forward to many more in the next twelve months.

Lovely perspective of the town and the surrounding countryside. Thats quite a dip in the road, I wonder if the kids would toboggan there in the old days. V

What a great thing to do! I enjoyed learning about Charley Harper so thanks for sharing this. Nice shot of the city street and buildings. I also like how the evergreens in the background seem to be hovering over the dormant trees. The more I look, the more I see. Cool! V.

I like this shot a lot. We used to drive through upper NYS a lot once upon a time, and this shot instantly reminded me of some of the towns we went through. The RTP institute and the Audubon Society both sound like good places to visit!

Arby's. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I used to die for their roastbeef bun things smothered in cheese sause and horseradish. I haven't had one of those in over 22 years now. Looks like a fairly old town you were in.

Nice shot of this upstate town. The building are really kind of pretty. We don't have any Arby's here anymore. I always loved their horseradish sauce.
