OK, Traveller, there's a time I would have taken technical issue with a couple of things in this image...highlights a little blown, shadows need opening a bit...but today I see a bit differently. Today I see highlights that shine gloriously and dazzle the viewer as was the 18th century artist's intent. Today I see shadows that are deep and somber which fill me with a sense of wonder and awe. For me, you've brought to light both the spiritual feeling and the very practical intent of the designer of this beautiful alter. It is both a religious and secular statement. Well done. -Michael

As the least spiritually attuned person in this whole world....I do sure photograph it a lot....lol

One of my very first Challenge entries:

I can't believe that I've been here more than three years.

(three happy years)

Best Wishes, Travelelr

Very nice Traveller! The highlights draw the eye to the statue and really makes the halo stand out as well as emphasizing the contours of the ornate alter carvings. Very spiritual looking image. CJ
