Thanks, everyone. I do like it better now for this High Contrast. I appreciate your making my entry better with your comments. ~lydia

excellent pp and i like this one better, a higher contrast just nailed my eyes on the subject not like the other one on pending

Nice shot. I prefer this one as a stand-alone and for the topic. -mcbit

Much better for the topic. If not for the topic...I would go with the previous version. - RK
Canon DSLR Challenge20-Oct-2007 03:16
Hmmm.... ok, RK. I made it more highly contrasting. What do you think? (original in Pending) ~Lydia

Very nice. But...there is always a but...feel the picture conveys low contrast/flat effect...atleast for me. - RK

Ok. Better now? Or more needed to the shirt? Cat, I'm thrilled that now you feel comfortable telling me what's wrong with my photos! That's going to help me a lot. Thanks bunches! ~Lydia

Thank you, CJ and Alastair! I agree Cat. Unfortunately, the shirt in 'real life' is graduated color... white at the bottom and blue at the top with a bit of a design at chest area. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the tip. ~Lydia

Lydia, This is beautiful...!! One does not want to see anything beyond this in the background. Just the subject in forground is enough!
One minor thing though... I would prefer to see some continuity of the shirt from the arm down to the belts/jeans atleast by the right edge (my right) of the shirt. Otherwise it looks the upper part and the lower parts are visually joined only by the horses head.

Well done Lydia! The subject suits the processing beautifully! CJ

Beautiful, Lydia. I was going to say that it looks good enough to be on a greeting card, but, in fact, it looks much too good to be on a greeting card. It has a dreamlike ethereal quality to it.
All the best
Alastair

Thanks, Bob. I wondered if this were on the track you're wanting us to go. Now that I know, I'll go out shootin' for Eligible. BTW, "the man" is my hubby. He won't give up those jeans. Adorable, huh?! *smile* ~Lydia

My first impression was that it is monochrome but there are beautifully subtle colour tones in this.

I also like the balance you have in not pushing the luminance values to extreme and allowing the detail to remain even in the the man's hat for example.

Very striking composition Lydia, love it. ~ Regards Melbob
