First Place
To or Fro?

Without focus this image can depict two entirely different events.
Are they going out for a ride, excited to be together...
Or are they hot and tired coming in from a long ride?
Without focus...

It's like a book illustration, I like it. --Melanie

I like this one a lot. Apart from the mystery put forth, I even like the specific inclusions on the left and right edges. Well Done!

Lydia, I love this shot. I can almost smell the stables. Julie

You're right, Lonnit. And one more thing, the (very good) title spells it out here, there's a chronological order. Logically, our first meet with a scene hints we're at the beginning of a timeline, not the end.

Oh, it's just lovely! It's all about mood. Yes, does seem like a back shot at first glance. I think we think that b/c we aren't getting detail. When viewing from the back we don't see facial features, so perhaps we associate a silhoutte with that for that reason. ~ Lonnit

Wow, Lydia. I'm speechless and this is perfect. I'm not sure I would like it so much if it was in sharp focus. Great job and sure to be a contender. I'm guessing Fro, by the way. Jim H2

It's the stories that the OOF pictures tell that have surprised me. This is wonderful and perfect in B&W - Pops

Great shot. When I see these "silhouettes" I tend to think I'm seeing people from behind. Wonder why. Perhaps it's somehow natural to think they walk towards the light. Took a closer look at this and they are actually facing you. So much for my intuition.
