Beautiful, composition and lighting are first-class! Oddly enough, I recognized the pews immediately, probably from too many memories of misbehaving at mass when I was a kid and getting thumped over the head by the minister's assistant with his bible. Ouch! ;) ... Martin (mschf)
Thanks, Lonnit. I've shown people a print of this without a title, and some have turned it every which way trying to figure out what it is, and most folks think there's a mirror in there somewhere. I've been back to this church a couple of times since and have not been able to recapture these colors.

Yes, the "line" that divides the image in half does create a bit of illusion. You definitely have to take a deep look to see what's really going on. Anything that makes you spend time on an image is a good thing! ~ Lonnit
Very nice, Mary Anne! This worked like an optical illusion, when I first looked at it I couldn't make out the seats. I've got it now! I especially like all the different things repeating here. Oh, and the light! ~Sharon
