Minimalism works very well here because the images do not suffer so much from downsizing

wow - I do find it slightly 'uncomfortable' to view as a series as they dont have an obvious flow between them, but I also think that is part of why I like this so much. This is an incredible set of images.

Yes - really rather splendid......

Grant..
Simply Fantastic Such a strong style through all your work I see, was easily identifiable as yours from thumbnail.

Grant, I think you will have to put down the stethoscope and pick up the camera for the long haul because your bedside manner with the camera is exemplary. shu

Thanks for the nice comments, everybody.

Well Grant, I've been gazin' and thinkin' on this since you posted it. Each piece stands on it's own and they are only the more remarkable as a triptych. It's gorgeous and I'm in awe. -Michael

Very very nice - each shot is strengthened by the combination.

Oh...wait...that is something white *in* the photo...it isn;t a crop...forget my comment on (*)...it works...my monitor doesn't!
:-D

Ohhh...yess. This is great Grant! (*) My only commment is the leftmost photo and the tee/white frame...I think I would much prefer the full tree with snowy ground...and then lining up the white snowline with the RHS photo. Otherwise, perfect!

Cheers,
:0D

The master of minimalism! Great shot, works very well for me! Cheers, Armin

I hate to disagree with Bee, but I think that the middle image is just fine...perfect in fact. It is the left image that throws me off...I realize that the snowy hillock is just that...but at first I thought that it was part of your white frame. Why not a tree alone, fully shown, as are the hay rolls on the right? Best Wishes, Traveller

I love the left and right images, and I love that you are linking them with a related subject yet different composition in between. The middle frame isn't perfect, though. The subjects in the left and right frames are very distant, and I think the overall piece would work better if the middle subject were either (a.) similarly distant (kind of an obvious move, but with the right subject, something industrial or maybe even a person, would be strong), or (b.) more close-up (footprints? barbed wire? plant?). Just a thought. bee1000
