Shot with the Canon 2x teleconverter. It may seem as if this is outside the challenge period but in Chicago, the cutoff was Thursday the 28th at 7 pm. I made it by approx. 2 hours.

Excellent, Grant, amazingly seen. Your use of formal symmetry juxtaposed with the informal position of the homeless person makes a very powerful photographic statement. -Michael
I love the way the shadows from lights we can't see seem to focus on the bench and its occupant. It's sort of like spotlights in reverse. Ok, the pink pants draw the eye, but that violet hair is positively luminous. This photo is great for its composition and color but I can't look at it for too long because it's making me sad. Catching a glimpse of a world I'd rather ignore. I guess that's part of telephoto too.
Fabulous...the pinkdraws the eye with the shadows...almost like a ritualistic offering to a pagan God...perhaps the God of money! I love the almost "border" around the photo with the greenery and the tiling...I am sure you played a lot with the cropping...but can't help but feel that there might be some small modification to enhance the balance of the greenery from top to bottom...and the trash can half cropped....an interesting choice of crop...
Overall though, what a great photo...this means so much and is a great use of the telephoto...congrats and well done on another great entry!!!
Cheers,
:-D

I had the camera on a monopod and wedged it into the windowframe.
I like this because of the unusual viewpoint, and the pink really draws you in to the centre. How on earth did you do the 4s exposure on this? I hope your gear was secured properly or they might have taken a tidy blow to the head!
