Firstly, size doesn’t matter, right? Hah! Telephoto work is conventionally defined as 70mm and beyond in the 35mm world. Of course, with some of us, we have to factor in the 1.6 crop, which would make it . . . uhm . . . well whatever. Like Gayle pointed out in Creative Wide Angle, it’s not about any specific focal length. Just get your longest lenses out.

And use them creatively! You know: DOF & isolation techniques, repetition effects, compression effects, panning effects, tele-portraiture, etc.
