When I decided to make this picture, it was my intention to blend the knife with the reflection on the eye but it wasn’t satisfying. So, to justify the terror, I simply put in far background the knife. Maybe this isn’t necessary because the expression is enough to trust the emotion. I will think about that. Thanks again.
Until Olaf mentioned it I hardly saw the knife, the eye portion of the photo really got my attention. I see this photo was taken just a few days ago. Seeing there is some reflection in the glasses right in front of the eye, I suppose if there was a knife reflection there instead it would really go together quite well.
Nice work! IMO, the hand and knife in the lower right corner is unnecessary - the eye is that expressive! Very well done - both technically and artisticly! I like the crop - it doesn't allow for any more cropping and is just enough to get everything that matters in the frame. --Olaf.dk
