I know what you mean Michael. Had I moved the stick, it would have left an indentation in the sand, and as this is not a tidal beach, that indentation would have stayed there ;0( I keep looking for the perfect naturally occurring compositions on my daily walks down to the beach, but this year, they are few and far between.

Very interesting zen-like image. Composition-wise, the stick should not be pointing away as it is "telling" the viewer to look away from the image and it's working. :-(
