Possibly my most successful b/w conversion yet.
Converted, softened and added noise in an attempt to "age" the image somewhat. Tighter crop than the original as suggested by some others...
(Minor additional tweaks to contrast as suggested by the nice Mr Reilly)

Phil: Very nice, completely endearing. Projects a certain hopefulness. Beyond the crop, one more suggestion: Heighten the contrast a bit. Try this: USM, Amount 10-20, Radius 50-100, Threshold 0. Black and white needs a lot of contrast to work well. --Joe
