This shot was taken a short time before the 3 bears shot.
The Mama grizz and her 2 young ones found a mountain goat that had fallen and died. (as the park ranger told us)
This black bear and her 2 (one is left of the frame) came along the scene and caught the scent. As the black bear
started up the hill, Mama grizz met her. There was this moment that lasted all of 3 seconds before the black bear and her
cubs ran off to the right.
Then came the other bear shot, where the grizzlies look very pleased with themselves.
