Lovely. I like the colorful child against almost b/w background

Love this photo. The pop of color, the beautiful lighting - thanks for the setup info - are both wonderful. Congratulations.

Thanks so much for the nice comments. Really appreciated.

tv - Yes, absolutely, both versions were staged... I posted the set-up in Pending.

Lydia - no need to worry :-) since this is far too heavily edited for DPC. I used some hdr layers; blurred layers; converted all except the young man to sepia, etc etc.

Kind regards. Nico

This looks more staged than the first. Is it? -tv

Wow. I loved your b&w version, but I like this even more. I had a look at your setup - thanks for going to so much trouble to produce such an outstanding entry. Regards Michael

What a great shot, Nico! The lighting is perfect, including the golden reflection along the left (his right) side of his face. Add in the somewhat wary expression on his face and those cute little wet toes peeking out from the baggy wet pants, and it makes a most appealing image.

THIS is ALL about the LIGHT, Nico! Wonderful!

If it's not heavily edited, you should enter it in the current Lighting challenge at DPchallenge.com .

On second thought, don't. I might enter it and don't want the competition. Just kidding, you know. *grin* ~Lydia

Very, very cute! This has a totally different "feel" to it than Heinrich's pose and is wonderful in it's own way. He looks a little unsure of the situation here! :-) CJ
