Thanks, Lydia, debbi, dtallakson and Markjay!

No, Markjay, it is very much "as shot". I will explain (also in response to dtallakson's question): the small cocktail glass (if that is what it is called) was placed on a horizontal mirror, and filled with normal tap water. This was my billionth attempt at clicking at the very moment an ice-cube hit the water.

Lighting was provided from three lights: 90 degrees left of camera and 90 degrees right of camera, plus on light aimed directly at the backdrop. All three were honeycombed. The two lights left and right were coloured blue and the one at the rear was coloured red/pink with coloured foils.)

(Many things I do not like: I really should have cleaned up the stem of the glass; I really should have used a smoother backdrop; I really should try to find some proper red foil to use...)

Kind regards Nico

Nice colors Nico. If I had to guess (and I always have to lol) I'd guess this is a reverse or negative color image. Regardless if this is a negative or positive you uploaded, it has striking color and a nice composition. Markjay

Well, I'm happy to see a splash. The lighting, composition and colour are all sensational. I wonder how it would look with a little more contrast on the horizontal surface. Just a thought. Regards Michael.
