The Sea House...and others

Walberswick

Esther Freud's book 'The Sea House' is set in Walberswick (as Steerborough) with Southwold (Eastonknoll) across the river. The mid left house on stilts is The Sea House and the topography follows quite closely, with Blythborough church upgraded to cathedral. Her family had property here
