Powick bridge

the oldest bridge crossing the river Teme to allow north-south progress on the west bank of the Severn. The first skirmish, 23.9.1642, of the English civil war and the last major battle, 3.9.1651, took place on and near this bridge. It is now sadly neglected (despite being a scheduled monument and Grade II listed) to the extent I felt a bit sorry for it.

Well, it's a lovely bridge, but how sad it's neglected. Excellent capture, Chris.

This is a good capture and I think the bridge is great.
It would make a good 4 season location with different weathers and lights.
Rob.

Surely with all that history it must be protected?
