Although this is a much photographed area, I hope I have added some new views and depicted some of the classics a bit more naturally than sometimes.
For those that do not think they are walkers, fill up with a cream tea in Rossthwaite then go over gentle pass to Watendlath for a microcosm of the higher spots (still not high heels country, maybe trainers). 2009: alternative descent shown via Stonethwaite; not recommended as ascent except for fit masochists, or even descent without proper boots
