From the flier behind the fairing: "Willie Hodgson and San Jose BMW hold the Land Speed Record on this bike set in 2006 at 164.117 mph. This bike started life as a 1978 BMW R100. It has been the National 'Formula 2' Road Race Champion. This is the world's fastest air head, pushrod, carbureted, semi-streamlined BMW."
