Westchester Wilderness Preserve

This photo, taken of the top of the wood-inhabiting coral, Artomyces pyxidata (Clavicorona pyxidata), demonstrates the crown-like branch tips. This is an edible species, but some complain of temporary 'intestinal discomfort' following ingestion (cook first).
