Lotus - Devoid of Petals

Posted on 23 May 2008
Best viewed at original size

The life of this lotus was very short.
The petals fell off in 2 days' time.

I took a series of 3 shoots
from the nearest to the furthest points
and rolling the focus along with each shoot.

The following 3 pictures show the different focused area on each photo before blending,
they were blended into a single image thru' a software "Helicon Focus":

Nikon D2Xs ,Nikkor AF-S 60mm Micro F/2.8G ED
1/60s f/9.0 at 60.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Fantastic work. Love the clarity of the center of the flower, like something done with a tilt shift lens. v
