Tools for Making Chinese Cakes

King Law Ka Shuk, Hong Kong view map

The ancestral hall has collected bowls, dishes and wooden cake moulds.
They had been used by the Tangs' family to make traditional Chinese Cakes.

The bowls and dishes were used to mix powder, sugar and ingredients into dough.
After pressing the dough into the mould, the baker turned the mould upside down,
used a wooden rolling pin to hit the back of the mould in order to drop the moulded cakes.
