The girl mentioned from the popular boxing gym is actually Mel and she's also known as "Braguda" - I box in the same gym as her. Great form, great fighter.

It's actually nice to see that mma as a whole in the philippines is getting more and more attention from the public. If only we could bring some more foreign or balikbayan fighters as instructors to train aspiring filipino fighters. Like Brandon Vera who's like a huge GSP, that would be like a dream for all those who are aspiring to be world-class mma fighters. Keep up the good work URCC, who knows one day Crocop, Fedor, and the Chute Box Academy will be joining you there. Teka is there any torrent site where i can download URCC fights?..

i am hooked to ufc but when i learned about urcc back home....i got more excited. i never knew this type of stuff does exist back home. anyway, looking forward to seeing the next event's pics. by the way, when is the next event???? more power to you my kababayans!!!proud to be pinoy!!. ..thunder (my alias as a muay thai fighter).

Mark Sangiao is really a good fighter and he is a SanShou fighter being a former member of Wushu-Sanshou Team Philippines, SanShou is a complete fighting system in itself but I agree that in MMA fights one needs to train in every effective martial art, and that includes Muay Thai.

I agree with Keane. The most complete stand-up art is Muay Thai. Those SanShou fighters can give even give the Thais a hard time. The Filipino fighters should train with a Thai champ or head over to their country and learn from the source. It's great to see that MMA is finally in the Philippines. I hope it keeps getting bigger and bigger. Once it's established in the PI's and the you've grown some fantastic fighters, send some to the UFC!

Filipinos should train with thai boxers if they sought to win against chinese boxers. Because muay thai is the most effective match against Chinese sanshou in the ring. Forget karate and taekwondo.

Pls post more pix of the battle, kasi ang alam ko talo apat na pinoy players sa 4 china players, TKO pa daw yung pinaka magaling ng pinoy e is it true?walang nanalo sa mga chinese ???that sangyao ba natalo din?? siya yung pinaka magaling diba? pls post the result of whole event na din.
