Yosemite, July 03, 2014

I am recently getting into Astrophotography and just love to shoot Milky Way, so here is another long sleepless night up the high Sierra, it was about 35% Waxing Crescent moon night, moon set at 12:AM, so should be pretty good for what i am trying to do here, and it turned out to be pretty nice, I was planning to shoot the foreground while there is still moon light then grab the Milky Way after the moon went down, but I was pleasantly surprised I was able to get both the Milky Way and the foreground in a single exposure, D800E DR + LR5 really did some magic here, just love this combo for landscape stuffs. But I am sure the two exposure blend is still better, especially the foreground will have a lot less noise as I shot the foreground with ISO 400 instead of the 1600 for the single exposure. but I am just too lazy to work on PS. will post those two image blend update in few weeks (or few months) when I get it done.
