Visited London’s Battersea Power Station today. Built in 1933, and extended in 1953, it has not generated any power since 1982 and has laid dormant ever since. It is a protected building, yet lies on valuable land by the Thames, not too far from the heart of London. There are still plans to use this awkward shaped building for an alternative use and these could indeed come to fruition.
It is seldom possible to access the station, but there is currently an art exhibition on within the station and I’d recommend a visit before it closes on November 5th. For further detail on the exhibition click HERE
