Oh, I like this. I like pictures of decaying flowers. I've done a few myself on PotD...

This is so well done, just stunning!

A most beautiful shot but I should hold that vase at arms length when you empty it!!
Guest 13-Feb-2004 23:28
I guess you could say they got worked to death :p Very nice tones and use of lighting, the shadows definitely add to this photo.
Guest 13-Feb-2004 19:20
Whoa! Hehe, this one made me laugh a bit...Nice lighting as well...got the shadow's in there nicely.

Uh-oh! If this bouquet was meant as a Valentine for your sweetie, best get thee to the floral shop for another bunch PRONTO! But you have taken something used up and made it look really artistic! The shadows are particularly nice and add to the "past" look of the photograph.

Great idea - I love it!

Great composition Ray - but the lighting and more so the shadow really make this image.

Great photo, Ray. I love the yellow tone, however you got it. The shadow works really well and fine composition.

Classic photo, I love it. Are they dead now or will they once again come back to life, that is the question :)
gary becker13-Feb-2004 03:36
Love it. And LOL, Louise... don't let Georgie know or he'll invade Ray's place.
Guest 13-Feb-2004 03:04
Great toning. Fits the photo well.
Guest 13-Feb-2004 02:13
Love the shadow. I hope you've thrown them away now and washed the vase out - it looks like it could be used for biological warfare...

Thats funny - we do have a bunch like this one in the window of our living romm - I have made several approaches at it with my camera, all in vain - you succeeded !
Fine shot.

What are you like Ray?? You certainly like to get your money's worth out of a flower! We bought some from Newark market today, £1.50 a bunch, they can't be that much more down at Woking!!
jan schiphorst12-Feb-2004 22:41
Quite good succeeded.
Jill12-Feb-2004 22:37
They lived a good life. And you documented it so well.

Make potpourri out of them:)
Guest 12-Feb-2004 22:08
Wow. What a gorgeous shot. Kind of sad....But the finish and the slight hint of color in the petals is just beautiful!!
Guest 12-Feb-2004 22:06
Ok Ray what were they? and what happened?
Guest 12-Feb-2004 22:05
