Overton

Overton, Hampshire view map

The White Hart stands at the crossroads at the centre of Overton. This is the fifth most popular name of a British pub, but oddly refers to a stag that suffers from leucism. It entered more mainstream usage as it became the badge of Richard II, but it also had a place in Celtic culture much before that.

Well, it is a handsome pub, but I'm enjoying the sign post. It's fabulous!
