Man at Loading Dock

view map

Guildford, Surrey

Well, not a real man! This actually a macro shot of the model of Guildford Railway Station that is displayed in the town's museum. The model not only includes the station, but the goods yard and engine shed too - all set in the 'olden days'.

Photoshop:
Cropped and Resized
Applied Watercolour effect.

Well, if you had not said anything, I would have been puzzled! The colors are superb.

Looked like an extra from 'Atonement' so, this is a model, not a real man?

he's surely breaking a few health and safety laws! ;-)

You've added the element of humanity to this model depiction, Ray. It's the abstraction that allows us to see the possibilities.

This COULD be a real man though. My first thought when I looked at your image here was a soldier ready to pack off for war abroad. The colors seem to somehow suggest that to my imagination. The softness makes it seem dreamlike. or rather nightmarish. Wonderfully done!
