This is a wing that will never feel the wind again.
I found it,
just there,
when i came out of hospital today.
It pinched my heart to see on the sidewalk...a lifeless wing.
The memory of creature that could dance on the breeze.

The day is rainy.
I almost forgot to take my camera with me,
saying to myself, why should i take the camera for a visit at the hospital?
I did not know the answer, lived the question, put the camera in my bag.

Hurry here, test there, wait for results, doctor called on an emergency...
I am left to hang.
No results today...

I leave the hospital, tired of this solo tango.
Then, there is that wing on the sidewalk.
The wind is trying to pick it up...it wont move.

The delicate feathers of the inside
seem to be welcoming the soft carress of the wind
the other ones moved a little,
as if they remembered how it was
to have the wind
beneath them
instead of above.
As i left, sorrow in my heart
the wind picked up
and the wing
almost to say goodbye
waved for a last time.
The rain started to pour...
