Hiking The Yellow Dog

The Yellow Dog River starts at Bull Dog Lake and goes to Lake Superior. There are many beautiful waterfalls along the Yellow Dog and it is incredible Trout Fishing along it. This time of the year you may have drifts of snow up to 1.5 feet that you have to hike through. This picture was taken at the top of a wonderful waterfall.

I was hiking in Grand Portage State Park in Minnesota on Saturday and found conditions just like these. Spring comes late up there!
